If your BB-T30 wax melts are soft, oily, or difficult to remove from the mold, do not change every part of the formula at once. Identify the symptom, adjust one variable, and compare it with your original batch.
| Problem | Possible cause | Test first |
|---|---|---|
| Too soft | High fragrance load, warm storage, or insufficient cooling | Lower the fragrance percentage |
| Oily or sweating | Too much or incompatible fragrance oil | Reduce the load or test another fragrance |
| Sticks to the mold | Removed too early or the formula is too soft | Cool completely, then retest load and pour temperature |
BB-T30 is made for wickless wax melts, tarts, clamshells, and snap bars—not jar or pillar candles. Bloombay lists a 130–135°F melt point, approximately 160°F as a pour-test starting point, and an 8–18% fragrance test range.
Do not treat 18% as a target. Start near the lower end. Also check the fragrance supplier’s current IFRA Category 12 documentation; use a level that meets that limit and still produces a firm, dry, stable melt.
Make small labeled batches and keep the wax weight, dye, mold, and cooling conditions unchanged. Allow at least three days before judging fragrance performance, then check firmness, mold release, surface oil, packaging, and warmer performance.
